Jerry Jones is the Director of Community Health at Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Kansas City (Blue KC). In his current role, leads the Community Health team as they blaze a new way for how payers work with patients and providers to address health inequity and the social determinants of health in our communities. His team is driving social innovation by enabling medical providers to communicate with and make referrals directly to community-based organizations to address non-clinical barriers to healthcare.
Outside of Blue KC, Jerry serves on the board of the Accelerated Schools of Overland Park, an organization that works with students and their families to provide a unique learning experience to maximize individual success. He’s also on the board for the Hyde Park Neighborhood Association and the Missouri Budget Project.
